Fearless, Not Reckless.
Trader, podcast host and mindset coach. Movement, Mindset & The Markets.
Hey, I'm Nick. I've spent nearly 20 years in the markets, and the biggest lesson they've taught me is that the edge isn't in the next strategy. It's in you. Your patience, your discipline, your relationship with risk and with yourself. That's what I talk about, write about and coach, every week.
My story
I started trading actively in 2007 on a prop desk in Scottsdale, Arizona. That's where I learned that the market will find every crack in your process, and in your head.
I've had an odd, unique and experience-filled life, and I don't see that stopping. I'm a gym rat who works out five-plus days a week, and when I'm outside you'll find me skiing, mountain biking, hiking and trail running. I've completed my RYT 200 yoga teacher trainings in Vinyasa, Yin and Yoga Detour. I'm also trained in energy work and breath work facilitation. Teacher training put me in constant discomfort, and an old version of me died there. I went in for the physical practice and fell in love with the moving meditation, and with the Eightfold Path. That inward work changed how I see everything, including the markets.
I'm also an entrepreneur, and I've owned a parking management company since 2009. Running a real business through good years and hard ones taught me as much about risk and patience as any chart.

Chart Addict is where I share the charts I'm watching, and my Substack is where the longer thoughts land.
Chart Addict Substack X @jfdiFearless, not reckless.
Fearless means acting with conviction when the setup is there. Reckless means acting without a plan. The difference is the work you do inside: preparation, patience and knowing yourself. As Livermore put it, “The big money is made by the sittin' and the waitin', not the thinking.”
