You’re either fulfilled or miserable. There is no in-between. Extremes define everything. All the people looking for balance are just looking for excuses. They end up being average at everything they do. And average is not a life worth living. It makes you fall into the miserable category. Balance does not exist. It’s pure cope. Fulfillment comes from not only loving everything you do but also finding meaning in it. If it’s not aligned with your purpose and grand vision, then it’s simply not worth doing. You can love doing something wrong but deep down you know it has no meaning. You can find meaning in something you hate but deep down you know it makes you resent yourself. Your life goal is not just purpose or meaning. Not just excellence. Your life goal should be falling in love with the game you’re playing. That’s all that matters. This is very abstract. Your mind might not fully grasp it. But your heart does.
